Zam continues perfecting his pant design while adding some gorgeous dye techniques this season. As well the long supple leather belt is unbelievable. I’ve been looking for something similar for the longest time but this is too perfect with the scarred leather.

New York’s own Zam Barrett has put out a teaser for his new spring summer 2013 collection through Stylezeitgeist and this season is bringing big news as Zam moves towards opening a retail space as well as a showroom. It’s great to see such talent progressing steadily in the already saturated market. It’s easy to see why he’s done so well thus far as Zam is constantly refining his craft and bringing an originality to his military inspired garments.

Zam Barrett Summer 2012 Preview
I can’t get enough blood.
Based on some photos I saw earlier in the week of Zam constructing a similar bag in natural leather I’m going to wager this piece was object dyed. This would help gain that uneven depth of color I believe and my lord it is gorgeous. I’m constantly blown away by each and every of Zam’s new offerings but this literally left me with my jaw agape.

“yes this was the same back, final result of the images of undyed hides we posted a few days ago, the bag was made and then dyed this custom color we developed by mixing rubine red with Grey to give us this dark blood/ maroon weave been working with……..it was a really crazy experiment, but we really love the results as they were very successful……….I am actually liking this bag a lot, as I tried it and it feels very comfortable on my shoulder.”
