Undercover Women’s S/S 14

Undercover fits in to my personal universe in the same way as many of the brands I talk about here; I know the collection will be good but it’s just a matter of how refined each season will be.

This spring was no exception as Jun presented a gorgeous collection that really caught me by surprise. I’m usually quite adverse to printed shirts with slogans or text but I do quite like the ones offered up here. What’s more is I saw a photo of one of the shirts before exploring the rest of the collection and that alone excited me to no end.

The collection itself seems to be almost split between these kinds of over sized shirts and a series of more elegant looks. Not to say the duality is overly contrasting in fact I think it fits together quite well.

Undercover FW06 yet again

This collection will never lose it’s magic for me. Everything about it just amazes me from the detailing of the garments to the intricate layering and my personal favorite part the face obscuring mask - garments. The masks really add such an anonymity to the models and dehumanizes them in such a beautiful way. The outfits are painfully intricate and detailed beyond all imagination. Not exactly practical for every day wear but gorgeous nonetheless.
