Boris Bidjan Saberi SS12 cold dyed cotton layered shorts

The more familiar I become with Boris’ work the more enamored I am. Having recently bought my first piece of his I was able to study the more intricate details which don’t translate very well through photos. As seen above the buttons are actually linked together using a waxed cord in many of his garments including shirts and pants. These shorts are a perfect example of how far Boris has come in only a few seasons. The layered shorts are a quintessential piece of his and this (in my opinion) is the most gorgeous iteration there of. Slightly more restrained than previous seasons given the lack of hanging ties but still a very aggressive look due to the construction of the shorts themselves. As well the cold dying method lends itself well to this type of garment by highlighting the seams and other details.
