Zam Barrett SS 2013
Overdyed maroon organic cotton pants
Zam continues perfecting his pant design while adding some gorgeous dye techniques this season. As well the long supple leather belt is unbelievable. I’ve been looking for something similar for the longest time but this is too perfect with the scarred leather.

InAisce Fall Winter 13/14 preview

I’m getting a slightly refined look compared to the past pieces but not without that rugged nomadic vibe. I can’t wait to see more since Jona has only improved with each season thus far.

Zam Barrett SS13

New York’s own Zam Barrett has put out a teaser for his new spring summer 2013 collection through Stylezeitgeist and this season is bringing big news as Zam moves towards opening a retail space as well as a showroom. It’s great to see such talent progressing steadily in the already saturated market. It’s easy to see why he’s done so well thus far as Zam is constantly refining his craft and bringing an originality to his military inspired garments.

Atelier New York FW 12-13 PreviewAlways a great buy over at ATNYC and this season appears no different. Although this is just a small glimpse in to what will be happening I’m already seeing gorgeous silhouettes and a lot of pleasing offerings.

Carol Christian Poell high neck gloved cotton Dead End shirt

via atnyc

This is really what I like to see from Carol; subtle alterations to classic garments. What could be a basic button up is extended past what would be the natural fit to encompass both the neck and hands which are usually left bare by such a garment. Besides the obvious aesthetic changes to the garment there are many more hidden details such as the stitching and seams. I’d be really interested to see how the garment feels on the body as that seems to be an integral part of appreciating CCP garments. Dead End has been nothing but top tier Carol from what I’ve seen.
